Whole Leaders

The Executive Fellows Program in Whole Leader Development was established as a complete reformation in how we prepare a generation of courageous and sacrificial leaders. Designed for leaders and potential leaders seeking whole leader education that intentionally integrates rigorous research and real-time relevance, the program will disrupt and deepen every part of your leader paradigm. Upon completion of the 9-day core in the three Executive Fellows Program, participants are awarded the status of Executive Fellow in Whole Leader Development.

WHOLE + INTENTIONAL

Taught by leading scholars and practitioners in leadership development and those who bring a combination of both, the Executive Fellows Program is rooted in a theoretical foundation of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a philosophical foundation of sacrificial and whole leader principles. Unlike other programs, it is not a one-off solution or fragmented process that focuses on only your strengths, personality, competencies, purpose, resume, or motivations. The Executive Fellows Program intentionally applies the best of decades of research on the developmental journey of leaders into a simple and next level learning experience. We architect the structure for learning and development and leaders bring their story and invest in each another.

RIGOROUS PREPARATION

LEADER DEVELOPMENT

A whole and intentional leader requires a different kind of learning experience – one that brings an equal portion of breadth and depth. Our program is intentional, rigorous, + relational:

INTENTIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The experience and content is personal and practical. A leader’s development gets interesting and effective when they can make direct connections between the learning content and personal experience. The curriculum is specific to each attendee and their experience, and it provides frameworks and customized actions to help participants become the leaders others need them to be.

RIGOROUS STUDIES: The WiLD Executive Fellows Program is smart and selective. We did not take our lead from what is popular or in style, but from decades of research in Industrial-Organizational Psychology on how leaders learn and grow while leading. The program will push you to new developmental edges for your sake and the sake of others around you. The Fellows Program participants are chosen based on the potential they bring as competent and effective leaders, and more importantly, for their willingness to edit themselves and to serve others.

REAL LEADERS: The Executive Fellows Program is structured for conversations and coaching. While we know that leaders develop through their experience, it is the relationships around them that enable them to become more self-aware and to take the calculated risks to become better leaders. Every leader engages in dialogues, coaching partnerships, and activities to connect with, learn from, and challenge and support every other attendee.

THE PROGRAM

INTENSIVE SESSIONS

The three intensive quarters combine foundational leadership + organizational theory along with personal character development as it relates to our identity as leaders.

The program is designed for leaders to not only think about their leadership in a more integrated way, but to have them explicitly thinking about those they serve and the leaders in whom they are invested, and how to practice their skills with others. It’s about being a leader who develops leaders. The assumption is that we exist as leaders to respond to a calling on our life and work to serve others through our leadership.

Objectives:

– Establish a foundation for a rigorous understanding of what it means to lead and how leadership has been operationalized.

– Build an understanding of the contextual factors associated with leading others in a variety of organizational contexts.

– Provide perspectives on and opportunities to integrate world view as it impacts leadership, organizational structures, and decision making.

– Reflect on work, life, calling and purpose as necessarily intertwined components of our lives as leaders.

– Gain a deeper philosophical and practical model of calling and purpose as a leader.

– Learn to build development plans and to have rich development conversations with other emerging and existing leaders.

– Personally reflect on the state of each leader’s strategic network and identify actions for increasing satisfaction with that network of support.

– Provide in-depth personal reflection on each leader’s feedback reports in the WiLD Toolkit:

  • WiLD Profile
  • Calling + Purpose Inventory
  • Purposeful Goals Assessment
  • Leading Under Pressure Inventory
  • Transformational Experiences Audit
  • Skills + Knowledge Inventory
  • Motivational Learning Inventory
  • People Investment Plan
  • Strategic Network Audit + Guide
  • WiLD Plan

OPTIONAL WiLD COACHING

It is optional to add coaching sessions with an expert WiLD coach, which can be an incredibly impactful part of your development. Each of our coaches has a heart for people and and an ability to push their clients toward action. Our coaches are unique because they are committed to investing in developing leaders as whole people. They know that developing whole leaders requires vulnerability, and vulnerability requires courage and an openness to change. A great leader is not great because they do everything right, but because they have the courage to move forward, and are open to the possibility that they may need to edit parts of themselves along the way.

Objectives:

Dive deep into each of the feedback reports with you to unfold new pieces of your story with you.

Gain an understanding of your profile, purpose, presence, portfolio, and people as you lean into your development as a leader with your coach.
